Women are angels... and when someone breaks our wings, we simply continue to fly... on a broomstick, if need be. We are flexible like that!

Western Larch- Sat Oct 30th

On Oct 30th Dave and I took a drive up Lolo Pass.  We drove to the top of the pass and stopped at the Forest Service Visitors Center before we headed back down.  I wanted to see the larch trees.
There are a lot of them mostly on the north facing slopes.
Below I am holding a Larch branch.  I am quite intrigued by them.  Deciduous Conifers...
I forgot to take my camera, but I took these pictures with my phone.
Dave told me that in areas where the larch are quite thick on a slope,
that these needles will start to roll and accumulate to form a ball.  A Larch ball?
I thought he was joking, but we stopped at the Travelers Rest Museum in Lolo
and there on display was a Larch Ball.
